Hi kazmam5,'Realtek PCIe FE family controller' is the NIC or Ethernet controller. The WLAN cards shipped with the Inspiron N5110 were Bluetooth combo cards. Hi kazmam5,Have you checked under 'Unknown Device' in 'Device Manager'? If not, please check if the Wireless card is listed there. If you are not able to see the Wireless Card in the Device Manager, the wireless card might not be detected by the system. Take a technician's help or by yourself try to re-seat the Wireless Card (refer Service Manual for detailed steps on how to remove the wireless card and safety tips).

Same issue here. Device drivers are installed but both wifi (Intel Centring N 6235) and Realtek PciE card are showing disabled. No VPN software installed as I uninstalled them.
Tried to do a reset but that fails to complete and unable to downgrade to windows 7 as the system was functional for a full 2 days before this happend. Any pointers? It seems I solved it. I a reset (not to factory to settings) while keeping my files but it erased all my apps including Cisco VPN and others such as google drive, all ASUS original pre-installed wares etc. In doing the reset, it re-installed 10 automatically and then the internet seems to work fine so far. Which is a relief because it did not work at all before. The only annoyance is I have to reinstall even WORD, EXCEL, ACROBAT etc. Which is a bit surprising.
But anyway 10hrs of work seems to have salvaged my device. Another 10 to get my IT department to re-install the softwares that were deleted including CISCO VPN. I had the same issue with the network adapters not appearing when I upgraded from 8.1 to 10. The network icon on the task bar showed a red 'X' and the icons in the control panel settings were missing.
Device Manager showed that my Realtek card was installed and working properly but I had no internet connection. I tried various solutions on other sites but they didn't Work.My issue turned out to be down to Kaspersky Internet Security 2015. Once I uninstalled it the task bar icon changed to the yellow '!' Mark and then showed it was connected.
The network adapter icon also reappeared in the control panel settings. I then installed Kaspersky again and all is working well. I hope this advice helps someone, I spent days scouring threads trying to find an answer for why my Windows 10 wireless worked flawlessly for a full 48 hours after I upgraded and then just stopped! Here's what happened to me and how I fixed it.OS:Windows 10 Pro 64BitWIFI NETWORK ADAPTERS USED:Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 Wireless Network Adapter (Built into Motherboard)Netgear WNDA3100v2 N600 Wireless Network Adapter (USB Wifi Dongle)SYMPTOMS:. Qualcomm Wifi worked flawlessly for almost 48 hours after upgrading from Win7 to Win10.
No hitches. On 3rd day, booted system and everything seemed normal, Wifi connected, no yellow exclamation mark. Internet detected and flowing normally according to the Qualcomm Wireless adapter. BUT!.

All internet reliant apps not working e.g Steam, Team Viewer, Spotify, Dropbox, AV updates. Go to any browser; Windows Edge, Chrome or Firefox, cannot browse to any website. Checked 'Device Manager' All adapters functioning without issue. Un-installed & Re-installed all just in case. Installed Netgear USB Wifi adapter to test, same symptoms (And Netgear state it's Windows 10 compatible).
Tried installing a Legacy Wifi adapter - still no luck. Had 'Tunngle VPN' installed, other threads advised to remove any VPN's and re-install. I did this but no change.MY SOLUTION:Just as I was signing up to this website to get some answers I thought back to what I had last installed on my PC.
I had updated my Bit Defender Internet Security 2015 software just before my previous shutdown. I though maybe its firewall is up to something weird. Wwe 2k17 pc free download. Sure enough I turn it off and BOOM!
Wireless Adapter Not Working
Internet!. The culprit stopping my internet but causing all adapters to think I was still connected was an annoying wee setting under the advanced settings of my Bit Defender Firewall called 'Block Internet Connection Sharing', I switched this setting off and all is peaceful in the world again. (See attached screenshot - top setting)It maybe worth checking your firewall even if it isn't Bit Defender for a similar setting. I hope this information saves someone much frustration and wasted time.Willsy. Just upgraded to Windows 10, no internet connection. Had no problems before on 8.1.No network adapters are recognized (Bluetooth, Ethernet, WLAN).
Have Atheros Qualcomm AR9485WB.Device manager says all is OK, but PC settings say no network adapters detected.I tried to uninstall/install multiple versions of drivers but nothing works.Any ideas?Same problem for me.do not have bit defender or VPN. All drivers are up to date. Have a dellXPS 8700. Have backed out to win 7 and have no problems. Microsoft had me download a program called media creator that they said would fix the problem.it didn't.

Dell Latitude E7440 Wifi Adapter Not Working
Hi,I have an Acer Aspire 5920 with a non-funtioning (since loading Windows 10) toggle key top-left off the main keyboard. BUT both have a yellow warning triangle embedded in their icons before ande after my updating action. What Else can I do?I am replying to my own problem - I hope it helps other 'Acer Aspire 5920g' or similar M/c users. My Windows 10 on an Acer Aspire 5920 stopped my keyboard's peripheral 'internet connection' key connecting the laptop via my wifi to my router. (For a few days I had managed to use a USB Orange mobile dongle for internet communication)In desperation I was going to revert to Windows 7. Prudently I decided to back-up all the C:drive to a remote usb connected WD Hard drive. Low and behold, when the back-up was completed, my internet connection works using the keyboard peripheral key! Ihad noticed the key inbuilt light flashing on and off during the back-up - which was encouraging.SO, I did not revert to Windows 7, and my Windows 10 now functions properly incorporating the peripheral 'internet connection' key.
